The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is in search of a Licensed Family Support Counselor on a contract basis. As we broaden our therapeutic offerings, we are eager to find a dedicated therapist who is enthusiastic about engaging with a diverse clientele across our various programs.
Role ResponsibilitiesOur organization is committed to assisting families as they navigate the complexities that arise from significant life changes, such as the diagnosis of a child, foster care, adoption, infertility, or other challenging circumstances.
Qualifications- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- A valid and active clinical license in Pennsylvania (LPC or LCSW) is essential.
- A minimum of one year of post-licensure experience in clinical settings working with families and children is required.
- In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and proven therapeutic methods for treatment is necessary.
- Comprehensive knowledge of trauma and trauma-informed care practices is crucial.
- Exceptional ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with clients of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, and belief systems is required.
- Experience with families facing infertility, adoption, or caring for children with medical or developmental challenges is preferred.
