Computer Aided Design (CAD) Operator

At KBR, we're seeking a skilled Computer Aided Design (CAD) Operator to join our National Security Solutions team. As a CAD Operator, you'll play a critical role in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and modify detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts, or notes provided by engineering.
  • Contribute design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operations or quality of product.
  • Check drawing plots versus project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
  • Work with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards, and ECN/ECR documentation.
  • May work with system management, including file maintenance, backup, and storage.
  • Prepare and log engineering drawings (process spec and tooling drawings).
  • Familiar with MAC OS Systems and experience operating AutoCAD 2021 and 2022.
  • Experience revising drawings based on instructions from engineers or architects.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel.
  • Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, blueprints, product specifications, and geometric dimensioning tolerance (GD&T), wide diagrams, flow plans, network diagrams.
Work Environment:
  • Location: Landover, MD (On-site)
  • Travel Requirements: Minimal (0-20%)
  • Working Hours: Standard 40 hours per week
Qualifications:
  • Clearance: Top Secret with SCI
  • High School Diploma/GED and five (5) to six (6) years of relevant experience.
Additional Information:

KBR offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $80,000 to $85,000, plus additional compensation opportunities.
