James Air Cargo is seeking a reliable and skilled Driver - Non CDL to join our team. As a Driver - Non CDL, you will be responsible for making deliveries and pickups within our service area of Northeast Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliveries and Pickups: Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to make deliveries and pickups within our service area.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and on-time deliveries while working as part of a team to ensure that our customer's freight is handled properly.
- Loading and Unloading: Willing to load/unload the freight and operate carts, forklifts, and pallet jacks to assist customers in loading or unloading freight.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow DOT/ and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) procedures.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training equivalent.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Professionalism: Professionalism is a must.
- Math Skills: General knowledge of basic math skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with internal company employees and clients while maintaining standards of professionalism and courtesy.
- Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job – sitting, standing, driving, and lifting up to 14 hours a day.
- Lifting: Regularly and repeatedly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and or/move up to 75lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100lbs.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a company background check (past 10 years) and DOT drug screen.
- Work Conditions: Must be willing to work inside and outside in various locations and weather conditions.
- Equipment: All our box trucks have lift gates to assist in loading and unloading.
- Physical Activity: Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and moving items.
- Competitive Pay: Competitive pay with experience.
- Night Driving: Limited night driving.
- Flexible Schedule: Varying start times.
- Weekly Pay: Weekly Pay.
- Health Insurance: Health Insurance after 30-days.
- Retirement Plan: IRA with employer match.
- PTO: PTO is available after 90-days.
- Hourly Rate: $17.00 to $19.00/hr. based on experience.
