Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the Emergency Room during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the Emergency Room.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Registered Nurse Diploma.
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
