We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at Penn Highlands Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing exceptional service to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
- Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License or Temporary Practice Permit.
- Previous critical care or cardiovascular experience preferred.
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification within 6 months of start date.
- ACLS and Comprehensive Crisis Management certification within 12 months of start date.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.
- Ability to obtain a Specialty Nursing Certificate within 3 years of hire date.
