Patient Access Coordinator

The Patient Access Representative will conduct professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic, financial, and biographical information. This position is responsible for delivering quality performance and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understands insurance terminology and obtains information to appropriately bill payors.
- Verifies patient insurance eligibility and confirms benefits eligibility.
- Gathers statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Completes payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to collect money owed by patients and guarantors.
- Makes referrals to appropriate financial resources, such as payment plans and lines of credit.
- Able to answer basic registration questions with minimal support.
