High-Precision Machinist Opportunity

DXP Enterprises is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team in a dynamic shop environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment and contribute to the production of high-quality products.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of precision machining, experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines, and excellent analytical skills.
Salary: $35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits.
Responsibilities- Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications and plan the sequence of necessary actions for completion.
- Select appropriate machines and position or load material for a job, determining batch size and speed as needed.
- Monitor machine operation, adjust feed rates, maintain temperature, and identify issues to ensure quality output.
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects, maintaining records of approved and defective units.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
- Proven experience as a machinist, preferably in a shop environment.
- Experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines, including lathes, grinders, and other precision equipment.
- Excellent analytical skills, including ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items, with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship is an asset.
