Mental Health Care Specialist

About the Role: Under the direction and supervision of the RN, LVN or Charge RN, you will assist licensed nursing staff in providing patient care, including activities of daily living. You will also support unit functions, maintain a safe environment, and communicate with the supervising RN. Some clerical duties and basic nursing care for adult and geriatric patients may be assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Assist RNs and LVNs with patient care and activities of daily living
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and co-workers
- Communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN
- Perform some clerical duties as assigned
Requirements: A current and valid CNA license, BLS certification, and one year of prior mental health experience are required. Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology is preferred. The estimated salary for this role is $38,000 - $42,000 per year, depending on experience.
