This is a challenging position that requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and experience working with complex systems. You will be responsible for capturing, analyzing, and reviewing requirements, as well as interfacing with stakeholders to assess and understand requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our team to define requirements, allocate requirements, and derive functional requirements to hardware, software, and lower-level components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the Requirements Development and Management Plan and associated subordinate processes
  • Capture, analyze, and review DDG(X) requirements
  • Interface with DDG(X) stakeholders to assess and understand requirements
  • Support DDG(X) CPTs/IPTs and working groups to define requirements, allocate requirements, and derive functional requirements
  • Verify and ensure traceability from the CDD requirements to system components and software
  • Present high-level information at the appropriate level of detail for the intended audience
  • Plan, lead, and participate in reviews of requirements documentation
  • Develop technical reports and white papers

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Related Discipline or equivalent education in Systems Engineering
  • Years of Systems Engineering Experience, one of which must be directly related to Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience creating models in CAMEO System Modeler
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Work independently (with moderate supervision), or on project teams
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • An Active Secret Clearance is Required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with US Navy ship designs
  • Experience working in large team environments & interfacing with highly technical points of contact for component systems / subsystems
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and project unknowns/ambiguity
