Under the direction of the technical supervisor, this ARRT certified and California-licensed professional will perform radiologic procedures with a combination of skill and independence. The specialist will operate at a high level of expertise, reducing the need for constant supervision while conducting imaging procedures for a variety of patient populations, including emergent, inpatient, and outpatient cases. Diagnostic tasks will include a range of basic radiographic examinations using both fixed and portable imaging equipment in various environments such as Outpatient/Inpatient, OR/Hybrid, ER, fluoro, and Endoscopy suites.

In this role, the specialist will execute a variety of radiographic examinations and efficiently process images through multiple archival systems, ensuring the delivery of high-quality images to PACS. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, the specialist will actively participate in performance enhancement initiatives while maintaining a standard of excellence in patient care. Adhering to patient identification protocols and infection control measures is crucial to ensure a safe and hygienic procedural environment.

This position requires ARRT, CRT, and California fluoroscopy licensure, with a strong emphasis on ongoing professional development, including the accumulation of necessary continuing education credits. Compliance with institutional and departmental policies and procedures is fundamental to this role, fostering a culture of best practices.

New hires will undergo a period of acclimatization, during which they will observe and assist in procedures before obtaining the required licenses. A proactive approach to achieving licensure milestones during the probationary period highlights the dynamic nature of this position. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekday, weekend, and holiday call duties, is essential to meet the evolving needs of the department.

Per diem staff will maintain competency and eligibility standards through regular engagement, ensuring equipment and procedural proficiency. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, rewarding expertise and dedication to excellence.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited radiology technology training program.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and cover weekends and holidays.
  • Willingness to assist at various Medical Center locations.
  • Proficiency in relevant Radiology systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete tasks independently.
  • Strong time management skills.
