Position Overview:
Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a dedicated Weight Control Engineer to oversee the technical management of weight changes throughout the vessel's lifecycle. The ideal candidate will hold a B.S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in vessel design development, structural design, and auxiliary systems design for marine crafts such as patrol vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges.

This role involves developing and managing vessel designs, including structural and auxiliary systems, to ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards. The successful candidate will effectively communicate and lead within the team and with external stakeholders, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage vessel designs, including structural and auxiliary systems.
• Oversee and control weight changes throughout the vessel's lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards, including ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, and IMO.
• Effectively communicate and lead within the team and with external stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
• B.S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in vessel design and development.
• Familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO, and other applicable regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, and Rhino software is desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to strict schedules.
