Job Summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer of 2025. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive tracking system for Sales Orders in production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop a real-time milestone tracking program for Sales Orders in production.
  • Integrate the tracking system with existing manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data collection, storage, and retrieval.
  • Create views representing all Work in Process (WIP) and its current position on the factory floor.
  • Develop exception reports to provide visibility into units not progressing as expected.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of the system to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of the system.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#), database management (e.g., SQL), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
