Food Service Liaison Specialist

UPMC Life Changing Medicine is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Liaison to join our team

The shifts will be 10 AM - 7PM, alternating weekend and holiday shifts. Experience in customer service and/or food service is preferred.

About the Role:

  • Communicate patient concerns or issues to supervisors or clinical staff in a timely and effective manner.
  • Process all phone calls using appropriate telephone skills and follow up on issues in a timely manner to resolution.
  • Process all nutrition care orders according to established procedures in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Troubleshoot interface issues with diet orders and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Report software and printer problems to the appropriate IT individual or group in a timely fashion.
  • Prepare tray tickets for food assembly according to workflow procedures in the operation.
  • Assist patients with menu planning in accordance with diet orders in a helpful and friendly manner.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and prepare reports as assigned.
  • Work permits are required if under 18 years old.

Requirements:

  • Act 34 clearance
  • OAPSA certification
