Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized CT imaging procedures, ensuring accurate patient care and adhering to regulatory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute basic clinical competence in CT, selecting accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
  • Apply knowledge of CT principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation safety and physics, patient positioning and patient care skills.
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment, maintaining supplies and inventory in area and informing appropriate colleagues when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors.
  • Actively participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • 2 years of General CT Radiography experience.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) (CT).
  • Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with patients, visitors and other healthcare team members to foster optimal quality of patient care.
