Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team at Cub. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring that all food products are handled and displayed in accordance with local health department regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing the deli area, as well as restocking shelves and rotating products.
• Handle food products in a safe and sanitary manner, including slicing, weighing, and packaging products for customers.
• Monitor and maintain proper temperatures in the deli area, including refrigerators, freezers, and hot holding units.
• Anticipate and meet the needs of customers by restocking products, preparing displays, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals, promote products, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a retail or food service environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
