We're seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a MedSurg RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and provide appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment of patients.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures and participate in discharge planning.

Requirements:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of patients.

Working Environment:

  • Fast-paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.
