Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team at Yavapai Regional Medical Center - East. As a Pediatric ICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in rounds and report patient status to the healthcare team, including vital signs, lab results, and any changes in patient condition.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona.
  • Experience working in a pediatric ICU or similar setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
