Practice Environment

Our facility is a 146-bed tertiary care center, specifically designed for pediatric patients. We offer a comprehensive range of pediatric sub-specialty services, including but not limited to:

  • Cardiology
  • Endocrinology
  • Hematology/Oncology
  • Gastroenterology
  • Surgery
  • Pulmonary

Opened in 2009, our facility is the only free-standing children's hospital in the region, providing family-centered care in a welcoming environment. Key features include:

  • A 58-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • A 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Both units are staffed by board-certified pediatricians specializing in intensive care.

Role Responsibilities

The Pediatric Hospitalist will be responsible for:

  • Admitting patients to general medical units
  • Providing consultations to medical and surgical teams
  • Educating medical students and pediatric residents

Qualifications

Applicants must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree. Experience can be demonstrated through:

  • Completion of a residency program with a detailed log
  • Clinical activity documentation from current privileges

Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program is required. Board certification in the relevant specialty is expected, with a five-year window for those who have recently completed residency training.
