Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance

Michael Page is seeking a highly skilled Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across all aspects of our business.
About the RoleThis is a leadership position that requires strong expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and food safety management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality systems, policies, and procedures that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading quality initiatives, improving processes, and driving cultural change within an organization. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and directives to ensure compliance with company, customer, and government regulations.
- Lead the development and maintenance of HACCP plans, SSOPs, and GMPs to ensure food safety and quality.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure effective implementation of quality controls and process improvements.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Work with vendors to ensure quality of purchased products, equipment, and materials meets established standards.
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution in a relevant field such as food science, quality assurance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on food safety management and regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record of leading quality initiatives, improving processes, and driving cultural change within an organization.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, and other food safety management principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
