Position Title: Adjunct Faculty - English Instructor

Compensation: $48.96 per hour
Employment Type: Part-Time
Location: Huntsville Center

Position Summary

The role of the adjunct faculty member is to provide instruction on a part-time basis as required by the institution. These positions are filled based on the academic needs of the College. Candidates must complete the required online teaching certification or demonstrate equivalent training in distance education. The College continuously accepts applications from qualified individuals interested in part-time teaching opportunities. Academic departments will contact suitable candidates when positions become available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver freshman and sophomore-level English courses to students within correctional facilities.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to student success, the integration of technology in teaching, and the promotion of an engaging learning environment.
  • Maintain precise records of student attendance and performance in accordance with institutional policies.
  • Timely submission of required student documentation to the appropriate administrative office.
  • Guide and evaluate student learning in alignment with established curricula and educational standards.
  • Conduct classes according to approved syllabi and instructional materials.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities

Undertake other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree or higher in the relevant field, or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area is required.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
