Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Staff Today Inc is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in students within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders, including speech, language, and social communication difficulties.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, considering the student's age, abilities, and educational goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies to improve communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to intervention and support.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate and train teachers and support staff on effective communication strategies to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations for students with communication disorders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology, incorporating evidence-based practices into daily work.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Advocate for students with communication disorders, promoting awareness and understanding within the school community.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Strong knowledge of communication disorders, assessment tools, and evidence-based intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple caseloads and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology and software applications relevant to speech-language pathology.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining ethical standards.
