AEG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Operations Manager to support the Practice Managers in overseeing all day-to-day store operations. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supervising all practice employees, ensuring AEG policies and procedures are followed, standards are enforced, and all patients' needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer service issues/complaints regarding products and/or services; issue refunds to patients; sign off on spectacle remakes.
  • Store Operations: Monitor patient flow (appointments and walk-ins), ensuring on-time practice performance. Help move patients through without disruptions, communicate with the Technicians regarding schedule, and check in on patients in the lobby.
  • Employee Management: Monitor associates' break times, ensuring everyone receives breaks as required by law and company policy. Participate in interviewing and selection of new practice employees, and participate in employee disciplinary actions if necessary.
  • Optical Services: Custom fit glasses precisely place prescriptions in lenses. Collect eye and face measurements to ensure proper fit. Interpret prescriptions written by optometrist and ophthalmologist.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document any employee relations issues, escalate to Practice Manager or HR as appropriate. Resolve conflict between associates, escalate to Practice Manager or HR as appropriate.
  • Training and Development: Together with Practice Manager, organize and lead staff meetings. Provide ongoing feedback to employees. Facilitate training for new team members.
  • Store Maintenance: Monitor associates' opening and closing duties, ensuring the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Participate in store inventory as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • State Licensure: State licensure required.
  • Experience: Extensive optical and dispensing experience required. Experience with customer service and/or sales. Management experience preferred.
