We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to drive continuous improvements in observability, performance, and reliability for our federal government client. The ideal candidate will ensure robust and reliable technology services, enhancing the overall customer experience.

The successful candidate will monitor platform and containerized applications, identifying and addressing performance and availability risks and issues proactively. They will contribute to the creation and optimization of all necessary functions within the core platform, establishing a robust infrastructure.

We require the SRE to collaborate closely with the team and the customer on a daily basis. The role involves monitoring platform and containerized applications to ensure optimal performance and availability, and identifying and addressing performance and availability risks and issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal performance and availability of platform and containerized applications.
  • Identify and address performance and availability risks and issues proactively.
  • Contribute to the creation and optimization of all necessary functions within the core platform.
  • Collaborate closely with the team and the customer on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, demonstrating a strong understanding of SRE principles for highly scalable and reliable systems.
  • Kubernetes (K8)
  • Possess a bachelor's degree.
  • Active TS//SCI clearance.
  • Proficiency in working within a DevSecOps environment, with experience using Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions such as Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, K8, and CI/CD Automation.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration tools such as Rancher and OpenShift.
  • Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
  • Availability to work on client site in downtown Washington, DC, at least three days per week.

Salary Range: $180,000 - $200,000
