Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Trinity Hospital. As an Echo Tech, you will be responsible for producing high-quality images of the heart and its functions, using advanced ultrasound equipment and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging and Data Collection: Use ultrasound equipment to examine heart valves, chambers, and record images, ensuring high-quality images are obtained according to physician standards.
  • Patient Preparation and Care: Prepare patients for examinations by checking equipment, managing inventory of supplies, and reviewing patient schedules.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up and adjust ultrasound equipment, verify wave signals, and detect artifacts that mimic abnormalities.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Record examination information, calculate measurements of heart wall, chamber size, and blood flow direction and velocity, and compare measurements to norms.
  • Collaboration with Physicians: Provide data images, analysis, and reports to physicians for examination and diagnosis.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Associate's degree in Medical Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a graduate of an accredited school for non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in echocardiography and/or vascular studies. Registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) - Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • Experience and Skills: Minimum one year recent experience as an Echo Tech or Cardiac Sonographer, with strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment and technology, and excellent communication and patient care skills.
