Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Academic Communication Specialist to join our team in [City, State]. This role involves providing high-quality speech therapy services to students with articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic challenges in a school-based setting.

About the Role

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' communication skills and develop individualized treatment plans to support their academic success.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse communication needs and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and goal achievement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports to track student growth and development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
