Responsibilities:
  • Manage the wound care program, including monitoring systems and tracking of wound management initiatives
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate clinical orientation and ongoing education and training programs for staff
  • Facilitate consistency of dissemination of standardized clinical education policies, procedures, and programs
  • Manage and deliver wound care specific clinical education programs
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the wound management software application
  • Identify and communicate protocols and standards of care for a culturally and demographically diverse patient population
  • Manage the implementation of clinical staff development programs
  • Evaluate clinical outcomes data and analyze practice patterns to promote organizational responses
  • Develop policies, standards, and protocols for applying evidence-based practice
  • Evaluate staff practice patterns and identify gaps in communication skills and clinical practice
Requirements:
  • Current License and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in NYS required
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science, Science in Nursing, Science in Education, or Science in Business Administration required
  • Master's Degree of Science in Nursing, Science in Education, Science in Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum of five years progressive experience in healthcare required
  • Conversant in data interpretation and presentation required
  • Proficient with personal computers, including Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
