Job Summary:

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team at our Shrewsbury, MA location. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and maintain a fast-paced, multi-tasked clinical environment.
• Inform patients of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding and ensure they are cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position patients and ensure their comfort during exams.
• Perform X-rays in accordance with center protocols and complete all forms pertaining to patient exams.
• Record patient data and forward data and/or films/CDs to radiologists upon completion of exams.
• Assist clerical staff as needed and maintain a clean and well-stocked environment.
• Administer contrast as required.

Requirements:

• Certification in CPR
• MA State licensure
• A minimum of 3 months of prior X-ray experience and excellent interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods
• Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds

Interactions:

• Extensive interactions with patients, families, referring community, and other SHC employees
• Regular interactions with contractors, vendors, and medical transport personnel
