About This Role

BioMarin Pharmaceutical is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our Technical Operations team. As an integral part of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of our raw materials, from forecasting and procurement to inventory control and cycle counting.

Responsibilities
  • Master Cell Bank Management: Oversee the creation, storage, and retrieval of Master Cell Banks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Raw Material Forecasting: Develop and execute replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and optimize inventory levels.
  • Inventory Control: Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to prevent losses, obsolescence, and other issues.
  • Cycle Counting: Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to cGMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical manufacturing and inventory management.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in a GMP regulated environment, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Business, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Skillset: Proficiency in data visualization tools, ERP/MRP systems, and supply chain management principles.
