City & County Credit Union is seeking a Member Engagement Specialist, a role akin to that of a personal banker. In this position, you will play a crucial role in guiding our members through the process of establishing and managing their financial accounts. Your focus will be on cultivating enduring relationships and promoting the products and services that empower our members to achieve their financial aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and education to members regarding credit union offerings tailored to their financial requirements (including loan options, online banking, and mobile services).
- Professionally manage member accounts: oversee the opening, closing, and processing of transactions (such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments).
- Investigate and resolve account-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in the execution and documentation of branch and drawer audits.
- Direct members to in-branch financial specialists when necessary (e.g., mortgage and financial advisors).
- Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies and procedures relevant to this role.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a personal banking role or a similar capacity; sales and customer service experience is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of personal banking practices and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in banking software and excellent command of MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and diligently to achieve objectives with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- A member-focused approach to problem-solving with a positive demeanor.
- A high school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a credit union or banking environment is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
