The Behavior Technician, now known as a Behavior Intervention Specialist, plays a vital role in providing behavioral management services to a caseload of consumers. Working under the direction of a senior Behavior Analyst, they implement intervention plans and support individuals with behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavioral intervention plans by teaching techniques to consumers and their families, promoting positive behavioral change and community integration.
- Collaborate with the Behavior Analyst and other team members to monitor consumer progress, ensuring effective treatment outcomes.
- Work with consumers and their families to develop and implement behavioral intervention plans, addressing unique needs and goals.
- Maintain confidentiality in all tasks, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with complex behavioral needs.
- Patient and flexible in handling behavioral challenges, with a strong ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliable and efficient with time management, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Preferred experience with Applied Behavior Analysis techniques, including data collection and analysis.
- Must have reliable transportation, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
- Sit for extended periods, with regular breaks to maintain physical and mental well-being.
- Lift up to 15 pounds, with the ability to perform various physical tasks as required.
