About the Program: The General Surgery Residency Program at Cleveland Clinic Foundation is a unique community-based program with a strong history of osteopathic principles and practice. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) with continued osteopathic recognition.

Responsibilities: The Program Director will be responsible for the overall operations of the General Surgery Residency Program, including:

  • Developing and implementing program goals and objectives
  • Leading the program's educational and administrative activities
  • Collaborating with the Department Chair of General Surgery and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with ACGME and institutional requirements

Requirements: Candidates must have:

  • Completed an ACGME or AOA-accredited General Surgery Residency
  • Board certification in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOA)
  • Requisite clinical, educational, and administrative experience beyond residency training
