About the Role

At Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the rehabilitation journey of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration and Patient Care

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medications and their administration, as well as the ability to provide patient care that meets the unique needs of each individual. This includes geriatric and general inpatient rehabilitation patients.

Assessment and Intervention

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, you will assist with patient assessments and reassessments as per policy, identifying and initiating appropriate rehabilitation nursing interventions.

Quality Improvement and Patient Outcomes

You will perform timely and accurate Quality Improvement (QI) assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will interact professionally with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

Pain Management and Education

You will demonstrate expertise in pain assessment and management, educating patients and families on effective pain management strategies and techniques.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse
  • CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred
  • IV Certified or obtained within 6 months highly preferred
  • Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
