Job Title: Family Medicine Physician
Job Summary:
El Proyecto del Barrio is seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, from children to adults.
Responsibilities:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patients who come to the clinic for acute medical care.
- Determine the necessity for referral and refer persons requiring special diagnostic procedures and treatments to appropriate sources.
- Participate in developing the call schedule and provide coverage every four to six weeks.
- Maintain EHR patient records.
- Diagnose and treat common health problems; advise and counsel patients of developmental and maturational issues.
- Identify, intervene, and provide information for the patient, enabling the patient to make informed decisions and incorporates measures to improve health status.
- Collaborate and consult closely with other physicians on behalf of patients.
- Respond to patient medical emergencies in life-threatening situations.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Board Certified principles and practices of modern medicine including preventive medicine.
- Mature judgment, tact, discretion, and confidentiality are mandatory.
- Position requires a professional, pleasant, and effective representation of the corporation.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) bilingual highly preferred.
- Must possess a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California driver's license.
- Must submit to and pass a drug test, fitness for duty, and a criminal background clearance as a pre-condition for employment.
- Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, TB test, Hepatitis B, MMR, and TDAP vaccines.
- BLS/CPR certification is required.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Physicians and Surgeons Certificate issued by the State of California.
