Pet Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Care Assistant to join our team at Banfield. As a key member of our veterinary support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our hospitalized patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the treatment room for examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary medical items and supplies are available.
- Support the Client Services Coordinator, Veterinary Assistant, and Veterinary Technician in their daily tasks.
- Hold or restrain pets during examinations, treatments, or inoculations, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests, such as canine heartworm and feline leukemia tests, as allowed by state rules and regulations.
- Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients, ensuring their needs are met and they receive the best possible care.
- Clean and maintain the surgical suite and instruments, as well as ensure the overall cleanliness of the hospital.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
