Position Summary:

IFA Rotorion - North America LLC serves as the North American hub for a prominent global supplier of drive shafts within the automotive sector. Our facilities are known for their blend of German engineering and American innovation, providing a supportive work atmosphere and a comprehensive benefits package.

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled individual to become part of our assembly team in Charleston, SC, focusing on the production of drive shafts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate assembly machinery in both automatic and manual modes according to established guidelines.
  • Perform manual loading and unloading of components and materials.
  • Utilize various measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures as outlined in work instructions.
  • Gather, document, and evaluate quality data as necessary.
  • Comply with industry standards and quality management systems.
  • Achieve production goals as set by supervisory staff.
  • Monitor machine setup and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain awareness of the company's commitment to quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Additional Duties:
  • Participate in training and certification programs as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist in training new employees to ensure they meet required competencies.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience or training in manufacturing preferred.
  • Familiarity with tolerance limits and measurements.
Experience Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of industrial machinery and measuring tools.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in both metric and imperial measurement systems.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Skills:
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to navigate a large manufacturing facility consistently.
  • Capability to stand and move within designated work areas for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and stoop as required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and more than 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to operate a computer terminal for a significant portion of the workday.
  • Vision and hearing capabilities essential for safety and communication.
  • Must be able to wear protective gear as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime when necessary.
