Overview of the Position
The Mental Health Counselor plays a critical role in our treatment team, providing evidence-based practices to children, adolescents, adults, and families. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and incorporating feedback from the treatment team.
- Provide direct clinical services, including individual and group therapy sessions, as well as crisis intervention and consultation.
- Collaborate with referral sources, internal team members, and external educational and service providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Conduct regular progress monitoring and evaluation, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance clinical knowledge and skills, staying current with best practices and emerging trends in the field.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant social science field (e.g., counseling, psychology, social work).
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Training and experience in providing services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively within a team environment.
