Job Summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Bloomington. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing quality care to America's veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist practitioners with patient care, physical examinations, and ancillary tests.
  • Practice specialized skills in patient assessment and triage unscheduled patients requesting care.
  • Act as a point person within the Primary Care Provider (PCP) Team and assist in co-managed care collaboration with non-VA providers and facilities.
  • Provide patient and family health education with a focus on self-management, prevention, and wellness.
  • Monitor VA discharge lists and contact patients for follow-up.
  • Maintain confidentiality of veterans' data and information.
  • Comply with all VA and company training requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Associate Degree RN may be acceptable if VA contract allows.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a registered nurse in a related primary care or ambulatory care setting; government healthcare environment preferred.
  • Credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
  • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment or any U.S. state or territory, depending on VA contractual requirements.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS as specified by individual VAMC contract.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong computer skills, including EMR experience.
