As a Respiratory Therapist at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our respiratory therapy team.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients for appropriate respiratory therapy services and develop personalized care plans.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families about respiratory health, disease management, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of respiratory therapy policies and procedures.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent experience and education.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
