Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Strategist to join our team at Renewable Energy Systems. This role will be responsible for the engineering, development, security, implementation, management, maintenance, and monitoring of all Infrastructure, Networks, and related cloud services across the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cloud computing, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS). They should also have experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including their services for compute, storage, networking, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global infrastructure strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead the engineering, development, and deployment of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including associated applications.
  • Collaborate with the Global Security team to develop and maintain an incident response plan, which includes incident detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery procedures.
  • Manage and be hands-on during execution of projects: scoping, requirements, documentation, testing, validation, training, and support.
  • Establish and foster relationships with Business Stakeholders and service providers.
  • Evaluate vendor solutions, develop alternatives, and recommend technical solutions in meeting the evolving needs of the business and aligning with global infrastructure strategy and architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management of information systems or a related area or equivalent years' experience preferred.
  • Project or Program Management Certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, MSP) preferred.
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management preferred.
  • 10 or more years' experience working in an infrastructure and operations role required.
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience in medium to large organizations required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 5 to 15% required.

Compensation

The estimated base salary for this role is $182,000 - $212,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is bonus eligible.
