Plumbing Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Instructor to join our team at O Tech. As a Plumbing Instructor, you will be responsible for providing technical instruction to students enrolled in the Plumbing Apprenticeship program.

• Develop and deliver curriculum for the Plumbing Apprenticeship program
• Provide students with technical instruction in a safe and productive learning environment
• Administer and grade tests, maintain progress and attendance records
• Advance student retention and support program membership hour goals
• Assist students with job placement and industry certifications
• Maintain contact with area employers and elicit feedback on curricula and industry trends
• Develop and prepare curricula changes based on employer advisory teams and industry standards
• Ensure instructional content areas comply with college standards and accreditation requirements
• Motivate and advise students on work behavior, training, and study habits
• Exemplify professionalism and good work habits
• Support programmatic and college marketing activities
• Work cooperatively within the college community

• Current Utah Commercial Plumber License
• Preference given to those with a Utah Master Plumbers license
• Preference given to those with teaching experience
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to operate a Windows-based personal computer

This position requires physical exertion and may involve working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
