Job Summary

As a seasoned Pipe General Foreman, you will lead and manage daily activities and production according to project timelines, plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Your expertise will be crucial in providing necessary training on proper safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Management to organize crew, materials, and equipment for optimal productivity and quality.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate reporting records, including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets, and daily management reports.
  • Assist in developing weekly schedules and carrying out activity sequences for assigned crews.
  • Ensure timely completion of work assignments within estimated costs while maintaining the company's reputation for quality workmanship.
  • Responsible for the safety of crew members and conduct all operations according to applicable company and government safety rules.
  • Develop and maintain a positive crew attitude through toolbox meetings and effective communication of safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules.
  • Monitor compliance with Company policies among crew members.
  • Continuously review work and adjust plans and schedules as needed.
  • Prioritize workload and operate within defined budgets.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in the field or related area.
  • Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform essential functions of craft workers under supervision.
  • Ability to perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out assigned work, train/teach safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, material control, and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals, and job cost management systems.
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers and management.
  • Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.
Work Environment
  • Constantly move about a construction/industrial site, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
  • Experience as a Foreman is required.
  • Work in a construction environment and be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
  • Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.
  • May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance.
  • Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment.
  • May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the construction/industrial site.
  • Must have required tools.
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required.
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, physical, and background check.
