We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN specializing in LDRP to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a dynamic environment.
Certification Requirements- Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Schedule: 7 AM to 7 PM, with block scheduling
- Orientation: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Requested Time Off: Must be submitted upfront (7 days or fewer during the 13-week contract). Additional requests will not be accommodated.
- Bed Capacity: 4 L&D beds, 7 postpartum beds
- Patient Ratios: Labor: 1:1-2, Postpartum: 1:2-3
- Common Patient Conditions: Patients over 35 weeks in labor, Mom/Baby couplets
- Experience Requirement: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Drip Management: RNs are required to titrate drips
- Common Drips: Magnesium, Oxytocin, LR, Zofran, etc. for Antepartum/Labor; Prenatal vitamins, Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, Percocet, Toradol for Postpartum
- Charge Nurse: Present on each shift
- Respiratory Equipment: Experience with neonatal ventilation (CPAP, BiPap, high flow) is required
- Block Scheduling: Allowed
- Shift Details: Night shifts, 3x12 hours, every third weekend, first to float
- Weekend Commitment: Every third weekend
- Holiday Availability: Based on staffing needs
- Common Patient Conditions: Patients over 35 weeks in labor, Mom/Baby couplets
- Charge Nurse: Assigned for each shift
- Surgical Protocol: Surgery manages C-sections, RNs circulate for the newborn
- Floating: May be required to assist in MSP/ED, primarily 1:1 patient care
- Key Attributes for Success: Teamwork, consistent provider interaction, knowledge, independence, and effective communication
- Radius Rule: 50 miles; candidates must not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization.
