Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

At Fair-Rite Products Corp., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and products.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop 3D models of parts and prototypes using SolidWorks software.
  • Generate 2D prints using AutoCAD for part prints and tool designs.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments of specifications, new part designs, and tooling.
  • Complete cost estimate worksheets (CEW's) and engineering change notifications (ECN's).
  • Assist with developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Conduct research to determine equipment and parts availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost of specified projects.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods as needed; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing process.
  • Identify causes of process instability and recommend solutions.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CAD software: AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
  • Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, including common engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of production employees.
  • Ability to operate ERP and MRP system effectively.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Advanced PC, Excel, and Analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced production quality planning, design skills, and design of experiments.
  • Data collection/SPC.
  • Must have a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
