Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager-In-Training (MIT) to join our team. As an MIT, you will participate in a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a leadership role. You will learn about food service management, nutrition, and hospitality, as well as develop your leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and perform the job assignments of the dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher positions
  • Lead small groups of line staff in food preparation, serving, and clean-up activities
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met
  • Maintain records of income and expenditures, food, supplies, personnel, and equipment
  • Train and assist staff in meeting HCSG standards
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision
  • Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, or specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition
  • Proof of or successful completion of an approved Conference of Food Protection (CFP) Food Protection Manager (FPM) course
  • Two years of experience in quantity food production/service, dining/nutrition, and personnel supervision
