Job Title: Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Christianson PLLP. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complexities of taxation and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Electronically research tax issues and prepare position memos to support clients and partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of tax code changes and accounting procedures to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Assist in developing and implementing tax quality control policies and procedures.
  • Prepare complex tax returns and provide expert advice to clients on tax planning and strategy.
  • Create and deliver tax presentations to partners, clients, and staff.
  • Facilitate briefings on new tax issues and developments to keep the firm informed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA or EA certification preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in taxation services, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent technical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide expert advice.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide junior staff members.
