Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hotel Durham Llp. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Various Aspects of Property Maintenance: Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel property is well-maintained and in good working condition.
  • Maintain Accurate Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure that all necessary materials are available for maintenance tasks.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests and internal departments, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with Special Projects: Assist the Building Engineer with special maintenance projects, such as preventive maintenance of building components and/or mechanics.
  • Be On-Call: Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekend, and holiday emergency service as needed.
  • Ensure Exterior Upkeep: Ensure the exterior of the hotel property is well-maintained and clean, including grounds and landscaping.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate power washers, shampoo machines, and other machinery as needed.
  • Survey Buildings: Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Perform Electrical and Manual Repairs: Perform maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, and perform manual repairs when necessary, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
  • Meet Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to Work in the United States: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of hotel or residential maintenance experience, with painting and plumbing experience a plus.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time, lift up to 40 lbs. as needed, and continuously use hands and arms, bend, reach, and twist.
