About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing State and Local Government business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice.

As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
  • Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop a deep expertise in the AWS technologies
  • Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
Requirements
  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
  • Experience in technology/software sales, presales, or consulting
  • Experience working directly in customer implementations
  • Experience with AWS technologies
