At Jobot, we are seeking a highly skilled Battery Safety Engineer to join our team. As a Battery Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and implementing safety measures and regulatory compliance for the manufacturing equipment of battery production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure battery systems comply with safety standards and regulations, including but not limited to UN38.3, ISO 26262, NFPA, 29 CFR 1910, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Conduct safety assessments and risk analyses to identify and address potential safety issues.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety plans, hazard analyses, and safety cases.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and agencies to ensure compliance with regional and international standards.
  • Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and testing agencies to ensure alignment with safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to battery safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and submit documentation required for regulatory approvals and certifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in battery safety engineering, preferably in the electric vehicle industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulations, emergency preparedness and response, and best practice storage requirements related to battery systems.
  • Application of process safety through risk assessment and analysis means.
  • Working knowledge with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
