Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct research experiments in line with the research plan, review progress, and evaluate results.
  • Create research methods and suggest options for improving quality, identify potential problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis, interpret, and implement research methodology.
  • Oversee daily laboratory operations, including ordering, inventory, maintenance of OSEH compliance, preparing animal protocols, hazardous waste disposal, and organization and maintenance of lab databases.
  • May oversee exempt and non-exempt research and support personnel.
  • Maintain a small animal breeding colony and serve as health contact for core animals.
  • Oversee the laboratory's scheduled cultured cell line growth and maintenance operation (tissue culture).
  • May be a liaison with other departments, divisions, or organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a recognized field of science directly related to the responsibilities of the position.
  • 1+ years of related experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree.

Work Modes

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.
