Job Summary:

Sysco, a leading foodservice distribution company, is seeking a reliable and skilled CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer and manually unloading/delivering various products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver products to customer locations
  • Build relationships with customers using a positive and friendly attitude
  • Meet customer needs and expectations by understanding their operations
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve delivery goals
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • 6 months of experience required
  • 21+ years of age
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Touch freight – may need to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds
  • Flexibility – overtime as required, occasional weekends and holiday
